Not because I like selfies but because I enjoy what it says about our relationship. I don’t simply want to get paid to take photos of your wedding day: in telling your story, I want to be a part of it. One of the joys of being a wedding photographer is knowing the photos I take will be a part of your lives forever.
Given such responsibility, my goals are clear: capture your story beautifully, from the kiss that makes it official to the little moments only you two know. You should experience the joy of your wedding day every time you glance at your photos.
I began taking photos in college simply as a way of remembering for myself. Before a semester “abroad” in Yosemite, I bought a camera for the sole purpose of remembering its people and places. As a journalism major who eventually went on to get a Masters in Theology, I was already curious, and photography quickly became an expression of my curiosity with people and the world. My camera became almost another limb, carrying it with me to South Africa, Europe, and the east coast over the last decade while collecting landscape, portrait, and journalistic photos along the way, much like someone might collect and treasure rocks or cards.
Now residing in Los Angeles, I’ve honed in on authenticity and detail with a timeless, analog aesthetic for my photography work. As a four-wing-five on the enneagram, thoughtfulness and authenticity are my bread and butter, anything else simply does not sit well with me.
The editing process usually begins with a cat sitting on my keyboard.

I’d love to meet over coffee or Zoom and see if we would be a good fit!
